I found the course extremely flexible with excellent support available when challenges arose... I can honestly say that this is the best thing I have ever done.
The course is all inclusive to people of all backgrounds. With me starting the course with no previous experience or knowledge of anatomy, I was worried that it would be overwhelming. However, lectures take it at a steady pace and ensure that students do not feel overwhelmed when delving into new topics.
The course gave me a personalised experience… Throughout the course, I really appreciated the small group sizes and the intimacy of the clinics/ lectures. It would have been much harder to integrate with a course that had 50 plus students.
I used to work in sports massage before I began my osteopathic journey. Prior to enrolling in the College of Osteopaths, I explored several open days with other providers. However, I ultimately chose the college based on its strong reputation and emphasis on hands-on skills. Initially, the prospect of a lengthy commitment seemed daunting, but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. It felt like being part of a big family that supported, challenged, and motivated me to achieve my goals.
The most enjoyable part of the course was working with patients, building a rapport,
helping them to live with less pain and helping them to have a better awareness of
what was happening in their bodies.
Before I started my degree, I was in the military. As a result of an ankle injury I received rehabilitation and this sparked my interest in Osteopathy. I had an amazing few years learning about the body and how amazing it is, and how we can be an influential part of a person's pain journey. Since qualifying, I joined the NHS and work in an MSK department
