Our Service to our Communities

Benefiting the community

Osteopathy is well-evidenced to improve a range of health and wellbeing outcomes for patients including back pain, depression and anxiety. With mental health and musculoskeletal concerns accounting for the majority of enquiries to GPs and lost work days to sickness, Osteopathy has an increasingly important role to play in our communities.

Our teaching clinics provide affordable treatments, supporting the health and wellbeing of patients in Borehamwood and Stoke on Trent. Each year we support and treat over 4,000 people across both sites. Subsidised through fundraising we aim to make Osteopathic treatment as accessible to as many people as possible including disabled people, carers and key workers, the young and the elderly. We also provide heavily discounted treatments for NHS workers.

‘After my treatment I went home to reset and slept for 2 hours and when I awoke I felt relaxed and at ease. I cannot thank you enough for your help and I will come to see you again.’

Our clinics are overseen by trained Osteopaths, while also providing hands-on clinical practice for our students. Alongside general osteopathic support, within both sites we also offer specialist sessions including cranial osteopathy, a foot clinic, and baby clinic.
